Windsurfing: Castletown, Isle of man Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 30-45 knots Surf / Sea State: Choppy with 2 3 foot swell Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Lovely... Started off with the wind around 30 knots. Craig rigged a 4.2m
and Shaun and I 4.5m sails and we had a whale of a time blasting around the
bay and jumping off the swell. There was even the chance of a little wave
riding on the swell at times, but it was pretty choppy out there. The wind
filled in all day and before long we were all well and truly stacked even
with as much downhaul and outhaul as we could muster. I should really have
changed down to my 4m sail but just hung on and hoped for the best.
Neil turned up and went out with a 3.5m sail and he too was maxed out on
that, but 3.5m was probably about right by now. Had a great time though and
even went for a forward loop off some of the chop on the way into the
beach.. Measured the wind when I got off the water and it was a steady 38
knots with gusts to 48 knots!!!...Windy Miller!
